Very soon this information and more will be moved to a private area but that will be an interactive site(.eu) where each independent grower  of Paulownia can bring their contribution.
First step: - Organizing a support site with free information about growing and caring for Paulownia species for all users.
Step two: The implementation of a software forum multilingual (English, Romanian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Serbian, Italian, German, Macedonian, Georgian, Spanish, French, Moldavian, Turkish, Greek and so on)
Step Three:-Implementation of an online auction software to the network of Paulownia-Europe, where each registered user can list for free on his own liability products resulting from growing Paulownia tree (trees, wood, biomass, timber, cut roots, clones, plantations , seeds, honey from flowers paulownia, and so on)

The one and only purpose of this interactive and online auction website is putting up an independent markets in the Paulownia products within the European Union.
Each producer will free list as many auctions at no charge, the only condition being personal responsibility for truthfulness.
Listing conditions will be discussed in advance with users of the site forum.

Also known as the Royal Paulownia, .Mao pao tong, Empress tree, Princess tree, Royal paulownia. It's the fastest growing tree you can plant.
Soars up to 12 feet the first growing season.
Then reaches about 25 feet the third year. You will have fun watching this tree. Even more spectacular is its amazing beauty. The tree blooms colorful, lavender flowers in the spring that look and smell wonderful & is a tree with a high potential for honey production.

Planting of Paulownia-from seeds to tree

Seeds "Stratifications" is recommended for better results in planting!!!!!

Paulownia seeds are placed in water for 8 12 hours but to stimulate seed germination and sprouting for a close to perfection as you can use a 1:2000 solution Atonik in one milliliter of Atonik in two liters of water. After a few hours the seeds will increase slightly in volume and begin to sink. After soaking seeds will be dried with a towel to planting up a couple of hours.

Put substrate (2/3 peat based mixture and 1/3 sand river) prepared by ourselves or bought in stores (recommended for beginners)
Substrate is placed in caskets and easily compacted by hand watering with a spray then start planting. The seeds are carefully placed on the surface with a damp tool. Recommended ° wood or plastic, porcelain, metal excluded, whatever it is. Avoid using metal tools even during germination, the metal in contact with water quality and influence its physical and chemical structure.

Seeds prepared in this way is covered with a very thin surface layer about 1.5 milimetrii.Tot support covered with transparent film for food and water according to the conditions in each Nursery.

After 8-12 days the seeds will have sprouted.

Watering.
The first watering is done immediately after sowing (you can use a solution Tachigaren or Previcur Energy 1ml / 1 liter of water. Watering with spray is recommended as a fine mist. Water used is better at room temperature.
Attention keep soil moist!! ..... but not excessively wet.

The basic requirements before planting paulownia are described in details in "Building plantations", but in brief they are:

- permeable soil

- neutral or alkaline soil - рН above 5,5

- groundwater at level not higher than 1,5 m

Planting. After the fall of leaves is the time the planting of the young trees to begin. It is usually in November. In fact, it can be done throughout the winter if the ground is not frozen and there is neither snow nor mud. If the saplings are storaged in a cool and dark place, they can be planted to the end of May.

1. Dig a hole 60 cm in diameter and 60 – 80 cm in depth. Keep this size in order to provide unhindered growth of the young paulownia.

2. Put 8-10 kg (this is about 3 spades) of putrid manure or about 200 g superphosphate (Р2О5) mixed with 100 g manure Nitrogen:Phosphorus:Potassium - (N:P:K) 15:15:15. Return share of the soil back in the hole till its depth is 30-40 cm and stir to mix with the fertilizer. This is the way to provide soft and nutritional bed to ease the young roots' development. If you wish you may use Terawet for dry areas. Terawet is a hydroabsorber which absorbs water in abundance of it, increasing its volume at most. During the drought it is letting the moisture that has been detained. The need of water decreases to 50% this way. It is sold in different packs. When dry it looks like sea salt. Paulownia needs 15 g per tree. You may also find it as tablets with pressing hummus. Put 3 tablets per tree. If you use tablets the need of composting decreases twice.

4. Pour about 10 liters of water. If planting Paulownia autumn, watering is not required. This will run the upcoming winter and spring rains and snows.

The corrugated pipe, covered with cup is to bring moisture to the initial depth of the hole. You may start using it in the second year by connecting the nozzle of the drip irrigation pipe to a slim hose. This how to irrigate in depth(our trick) and stimulate the development of the roots downwards. That makes paulownia independent on irrigations in earlier stage of its growth. The cup itself prevents the pipe from obstruction until it is used as intended.

Even you have missed to plant saplings, you may do so during all the year with those, grown in pots. Pull the young tree from the pot with the soil not harming the young roots, put it in previously prepared hole and bury it.

Why is it necessary the new-planted paulownia saplings to be clipped to the level of the terrain?

This is sine qua non in using paulownia for industrial production of wood because:

1. an experiment in which was planted both clipped and not clipped saplings, the young paulownia begin to grow from the point of the clip and if the stem was left high, distorsions and nodules appeared and damaged the quality of the wood afterwards. Besides this type of planting gives better growth rates and practically they anticipate their high planted peers!

Paulownia, planted without clipping to the ground level - result: distorsion at about 1,5 m. That distorsion shall correct over the years but there will always be a nodule there.

Correct planting of paulownia- the nodule which is formed is near the ground and it is progressively filling without damaging the quality of the wood. In that case the first camber shall be between the first and the second year growth, at height of about 3-4 m:

The saplings clipped and prepared directly for planting.

Soil. The tree is not pretentious to the type of soil as long as it is permeable, not loam and able to drain freely. The thickness of the soil has to be 1.5 m at least. Stones, even big ones, are not a problem, as long as there is not a rock plate on a higher level under the tree. This might stop its growing.

Paulownia does not tolerate acidic soils; рН must be 5,5 and higher.

Altitude. Paulownia grows well at about 800-900 м altitude. Cold in higher places is not a problem for Paulownia tomentosa and some of the cold resistant hybrids. You have to remember that the higher plant grows, the shorter the vegetation season will be and therefore the less growth. We have planted paulownia at 1200 м – it definitely grows more slowly there. You have to pay special attention to the fact, that soil is usually acidic where conifers grow.

Wind. During the first 2 or 3 years of its growth, windstorms may cause serious harm to the young paulownia. Тhey could lead as to refraction and underlay of the stemо, and so to tearing of the leaves – damages, which the tree overcomes but they, of course, slow its growth. Paulownia grows faster on wind-protected places.
OUR TIP: Do not water in windy weather!!! The moisture in the roots releases them and the plants underlay easier!!!

Some steps from sapplings to tree

1. Site preparation.

After choosing the suitable terrain, it is good to prepare it by plowing up. In cases of using drill 60 сm in diameter and 60-100 сm in dept, it is permissible not to plow.

2. Planting plans

When planning plantation, take into account the size of the work equipment (tractors, mowers, tanks). The plan for the sapling planting depends on the purpose they are planted for. When planting paulownia for wood and the area is not very large, but you want to get the maximux from the terrain for higher return, the proper lan for you is 3х3 m or 4х3 m. This makes respectively aboutо 105 or 82 trees on decare. But if you use this plan, it is mandatory in the forth year to cut the trees in one as a chessboard, because when grow, they interfer each other. Another four years later half of the trees in your forest shall be 8-years old and the other half will be 4-years old (these, which were cut off, would regenerate). Then you cut the 8-years old trees and etc. Thus you harvest 8-years old trees in 4 years. Disadvantage of this plan is – when cutting the trees in one, you have to be careful not to break neighbouring trees, which slows their harvest

Other popular planting plans are 4х4 m - 63 saplings per decare; 5х4 m - 50 saplings per decare or 5х5 m - 40 saplings per decare. Each of these plans require to cut all the tree between the 8th and the 10th year.

When planting for biomass in 2х0,5 m or 1х1 m, 1000 saplings are planted on decare.

3. Planting

The proper time for planting saplings is from November to the end of April. Paulownia seedlings must be planted from the end of April to the first days of August.

The next step is marking and digging holes with machine, equiped with drill 60 cm in diameter. The dept may reach 1 m. This does not mean that the seedling have to be placed at their bottoms. Half of the removed soil, mixed with fertilizer, returnsto the hole till its depth becomes 30-40 cm, and then the seedling is laid. Thus a pad of soft and rich of nutritions soil is provided which leads to fast grow of the young roots.

4. Water

The water is of big importance for the young trees planting in the first and the second year of their growth. Then the root system is already strongly developed and reaches aquifer. The easiest way to water the trees is through drip irrigation system. One young tree needs about 20 - 30 l of water, provided by 1 - 2 irrigations a week. If you use Terawet( Terawet is a hydroabsorber for soil), the need of irrigations halves.

Comparative characteristics by growing speed of the first 7 species of fast growing trees of the planet.

Paulownia features

Paulownia is not just another exotic tree. It is difficult to list without missing some all the areas where different parts of it are used. Wood, leaves, blossoms – each of them have properties we can use.

The whole plant – with its remarkably fast growing it is a little treasure to the environmentalists. They have found, that paulownia, with its rapidly developing root system, is extremely suitable to afforest plots at risk of erosion. It has been routines in some countries for a long time – in US for example, where erosion is a constant problem. Paulownia is also suitable for reforestation of burned forest lands; except the obvious advantages, because of the considerable quantity of foliar, it provides natural fertilization of the areas after the fall of the leaves.

Certainly, its unusual features, paulownia has become merely obligatory species for parks and gardens – not only in Asia but in Europe and USA too. The huge leaves and the big crown, which moreover grow without years of waiting, give deep shadow to the places to rest; so a park with paulownia is a nice piece of coolness among the heat and dust of the big cities. There is no need even to mention what big amount of green (and photosynthetic) mass are these leaves and how much of the carbon dioxide they process. If there really is a tree to call „lungs of the city“ - it is paulownia.

The leaves are about 75 cm in diameter, so there is no wonder in the significant volume of carbon dioxide required by paulownia for its metabolism, respectively – the large amount of oxygen released by them in the atmosphere during the photosynthetic process. The leaf mass of paulownia is suitable to prepare feed for the grazing stock – it contains about 20% protein and its features are close to the lucerne. The accessibility and the big yield provide low cost of the feed – it is one of the most important benchmarks for the selection of feed in the cattle industry. But this is not the only one that paulownia leaves are appreciated for. It is known that they contain some substances which influence beneficially the activity of the liver, kidneys and gallbladder and have also good effect at the pulmonary diseases. These properties of them are known for a long time in China; even the pharmaceutical industry there produces medicines, based on paulownia. The paulownia leaves have other properties too – their application in cosmetics is almost as old as in medicine, but it is new in Europe; only resently extracts of paulownia leaves are included in the formulation of creams and perfumes. The same applies to the blossoms - the aroma of paulownia blossom is defined as „vanilla, powder and lightly almond“. It was revealed that it is due to the heliotropin it contains. This is a substance, well known in perfumery present in another aromas (Tahitian vanilla for example). The analysis of paulownia blossom is performed by so called"GC mass spec" method, based on the gas chromatography and mass.

We can not pay attention toanother part of the miracles paulownia - the large blossoms that overwhelm its branches every sping. Except beauty, they are characterized by too pleasant aroma. The bees, moreover, appreciate their advantages and that's why honey with remarkable taste is produced by hives near paulownia grove. The honey of paulownia is light, clear, very bright and aromatic; by colour and consistency it can only compare with the acacia honey. Paulownia honey is the highest quality just like it. Except delicacies it is a medicinal too. Its propeties to affect and help the cure of bronchitis and other respiratory diseases and also to improve the fuction of the gall and liver and the digestion generally, are well known. These properties of the honey of paulownia are due to biologically active substances in the blossoms, so not surprisingly, the blossoms themselves are used for food. Except the Chinese experience in this direction, we must not miss the resently fashion use of paulownia blossoms as funnels filled with cream – it may sound like an exotic desert, but it is part of the menu in some restaurants in Europe.

From all of these species, paulownia is the less pretentious regarding the soil quality. It easily adapts to different types of soil and the only specific requirement is the presence of enough moisture during the first years of its growth. the plant lives long – from 70 to 100 years, which makes it an exception among the other fast growing species. When selecting paulownia an account for its resistance to low temperature must be kept. It is known that Paulownia tomentosa withstands to cold of -27°С, Paulownia elongata – to -16°С, and Paulownia fortunei is not resistant to temperature below 0°С.
